Fingers Taylor: My Photo Tribute
I had planned to post PART 2 of “The MAGIC of Facebook” today, but with the sudden passing of Fingers Taylor on Thursday night, I thought it best to simply post a photo tribute to him.
Though I shot photos of Fingers Taylor at several Jimmy Buffett concerts, I never did meet him, so I will leave the personal writings to those who knew him best.
That said, and writing as a fan, Fingers was incredibly talented on both the piano, where he earned his nickname, and especially on the harmonica, where he added his unique sound to the Coral Reefer Band.
I did connect with Fingers’ son, Steven Taylor, through the Magic of Facebook and was thrilled to send him some of the photos I shot over the years. Those photos were the ones that ended up on the backstage video wall at several of Jimmy’s concerts in the summer of 2021.

Great photos Chris!! Met Greg a few times!! When he was home in Jackson he would come to The Subway Lounge on Pearl Street in Jackson MS. They had a thing when he was there called Dueling Harmonicas!! No one could come to the GOAT!!
